Kontur JSC offers for public discussion methodologies of climate projects in the sphere of municipal solid waste management
In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 04.11.2020 №666 "On reduction of greenhouse gas emissions", the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation with low greenhouse gas emissions until 2025, the Climate Doctrine of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law "On limitation of greenhouse gas" dated 02.07.2021 №296-FZ draft methodologies for the implementation of climate projects in the field of solid municipal waste management have been developed.
The developer was PPС Russian Environmental Operator.
The set of methodologies includes:
1. Energetic utilization of solid municipal waste (including production of refuse-derived fuel, RDF)
2. Anaerobic digestion of organic waste
3. Incineration and energy utilization of landfill gas
The term of public discussions is 1 month (until April 17, 2024). Comments on the methodologies can be submitted by all interested participants using the form provided at the link.
