Udokan Copper is the first company in the industry to write off carbon units to offset emissions
Компания завершила процесс списания 1000 углеродных единиц для компенсации косвенных выбросов парниковых газов. Операция проведена и зафиксирована в Российском реестре углеродных единиц. Это первое в истории списание, проведенное в таком объеме, и первое, проведенное российской горно-металлургической компанией.
В сентябре 2023 года на ВЭФ углеродные единицы были приобретены «Удоканской медью» у ПАО «РусГидро» от зарегистрированного климатического проекта по модернизации и переводу с угля на газ трех котлоагрегатов Владивостокской ТЭЦ-2.
Проект достигает цели в сфере устойчивого развития и имеет климатический эффект, в виде сокращения выбросов парниковых газов, экологический – уменьшение выбросов загрязняющих веществ, социальный – повышение надёжности теплоснабжения.
Ранее РусГидро прошло верификацию результатов проекта газификации Владивостокской ТЭЦ-2. Верификатором климатического проекта выступил Орган по валидации и верификации парниковых газов Инновационного технологического центра МГТУ им. Н. Э. Баумана. Полученные углеродные единицы выпущены российским Реестром углеродных единиц и были зачислены на счет РусГидро.
Все сделки по передаче, зачету и списанию углеродных единиц между сторонами – участниками обращения проводятся в Реестре углеродных единиц в рамках Федерального закона «Об ограничении выбросов парниковых газов № 296-ФЗ».
